DigiGirlz High Tech Camp

Microsoft is proud to offer technology programs specifically for youth. One of our signature programs, DigiGirlz High Tech Camp for girls, works to dispel stereotypes of the high-tech industry. We continue to look for opportunities to give young people a chance to experience, firsthand, what it is like to develop cutting-edge technology.

During the camp session, the girls listen to executive speakers, participate in technology tours and demonstrations, network, and learn through hands-on experience in workshops. Established in 2000, the camp program continues to grow and evolve.

Eligibility – Must be in grades 9–12 in the 2012–2013 school year

Microsoft hosted the 2012 DigiGirlz High Tech camp from August 7–9, 2012 at the Las Colinas, TX Campus where 88 girls participated in workshops that were Technology related such as learning how to write code in C# to exploring non-IT related jobs in the Technology industry like Program and Project Management, Business Analysis and Marketing. Our girls also had an opportunity to learn about how Law is practiced and the types of social media used in Technology companies, learn about innovations, get some hands on experience with MS technologies and learn about public speaking through a ToastMasters workshop.
